Performing prayers on property whose benefit belongs to someone else without the consent of the one who benefits from the property is ruled to be the same as performing prayers on usurped property. For example, if in a rented house the landlord or someone else performs prayers without the tenant's consent, then based on obligatory precaution, his prayers are invalid.
