Is one permitted to do sports exercises or sleep in a local masjid? What is the rule of doing so in other masjids?

Answer #391:

A masjid is not a place of sport exercises and any practice incompatible with its standing and prestige should be avoided. Also sleeping inside a masjid is makrūh.
