One of the lines of congregational prayer was made up completely of people who were travellers (saying shortened prayers) and behind them was a line of people who were saying complete prayers. The former, having finished their prayers after two rak‘ahs, stood up to offer the next prayer, did the prayers of the line behind them remain as congregational prayer or not?

In the above situation that they join the congregation immediately, the status of congregational prayer remains intact.
