How do you define ghinā’? Is it just the human voice or does it cover the sound of musical instruments?

Answer #1126:

Ghinā’ is to sing. If it is lahwī produced in a rise and fall pattern and deviates people from the way of Allah, it is ḥarām. The same rule applies to listening to it. Otherwise, it is ḥalāl.
