Khums: Is Advance Rent Payment for a House Subject to Khums?

For renting a house, people must give a sum of money in advance. Is it subject to khums?

Answer #875:

If the tenant is unable to pay the full rent or the lessor does not accept the option of full rent, the amount of money that the tenant should lend to the lessor according to the lease agreement to get a shelter compatible to his social status is not subject to khums and is ruled as his ma’ūnah (living expenses).
