It is said that using up electricity more than one’s requirements is not considered extravagance. Is it true?

Answer #1459:

There is no doubt that consumption beyond one’s requirements is regarded as wastefulness, including the use of electric power. The truth is contained in the Prophetic tradition, “There should be no extravagance in good”.
