Fasting: Going to a Place Knowing One Will Be Forced to Break the Fast
Practical Laws of Islam as per the teachings of Ayatullah Sistani
Ruling 1626
A fasting person must not go to a place where he knows something will be poured down his throat or where he will be forced to break his fast; and if he goes to such a place and he is compelled to do something that breaks his fast, his fast becomes invalid. Based on obligatory precaution, the same applies if something is poured down his throat.
