Fasting: Breaking the Fast Multiple Times in One Day — What’s the Ruling?

Someone repeatedly breaks the fast on the same day. What should he do?

Answer #790:

This only entails one kaffārah. However, if he breaks fasting by masturbation or sexual intercourse, it is an obligatory caution to pay as many kaffārah as he masturbated or had sexual intercourse.
