Endowment: Resignation of Appointed Endowment Supervisor

Should the donor appoint someone supervisor of the endowment and make it conditional that they are not discharged only by the wal ī amr of Muslims, have they the right to resign their office?
Answer #1995:
By obligatory caution it is not permissible for the supervisor of the endowment, after he has accepted the appointment, to resign his office. Nor is the trustee of the endowment permitted to do so.
