Endowment: Does Donating Money to a Ḥusayniyyah Count as an Endowment?

An amount of money is donated to a ḥusayniyyah to be spent on equipment. Is it ruled as endowment or it is necessary to recite the formulae of endowment?

Answer #1980:

Just raising money does not amount to endowment deed. However, after buying the equipment and putting it in the ḥusayniyyah for use, de facto endowment is materialised and there is no need for recitation of endowment formulae.
