Buying and Selling: Selling Usurped Property with the Intention of Keeping the Money
Practical Laws of Islam as per the teachings of Ayatullah Sistani
Ruling 2099
If a person usurps some property and then sells it with the intention that the money acquired in return belongs to him, in the event that the owner of the usurped property authorises the transaction, the transaction is valid. However, the money belongs to the owner, not the usurper.
