Question #1479:
A person married a martyr’s widow. By virtue of this marriage, the husband took overall charge of the affairs of the family. How could the pension or the in kind monetary aid, this foundation gives them, be spent? Should such income be spent on the needs of the children only?

The income of the martyr’s minor children should be handled, be it spending it on their provisions or using it for other purposes, with the permission of their shar‘ī guardian.
