Buying and Selling: Buying Items Acquired Through Gambling, Theft, or Void Transactions

Ruling 2078

Buying items that have been acquired through gambling, theft, or void (bāṭil) transactions is unlawful if this amounts to having disposal over them. If someone buys such an item and receives it from the buyer, he must return it to its original owner.
