Alms Tax: Unspent Zakat of a Stranded Traveller

Ruling 1956
If a stranded traveller has received zakat and after reaching his home town finds that some of the zakat has remained unspent, in the event that he cannot return it to the benefactor, he must return it to a fully qualified jurist stating it is zakat.
