Alms Tax: Transferring Fitrah to Another Place

Ruling 2044

If a person entitled to receive fiṭrah is found in one’s area, the obligatory precaution is that he must not transfer the fiṭrah to another place. However, if he does transfer it and delivers it to someone who is entitled to receive it, it is sufficient; but if he transfers it to another place and it perishes, he must replace it.
