Alms Tax: Buying Back the Zakat One Has Given

Ruling 1991

It is disapproved (makrūh) for a person to request someone entitled to receive zakat to sell him the zakat he gave him. However, if the person entitled to receive zakat wants to sell the thing he received, then after its price has been determined, the person who gave him the zakat has the first option to buy it.
